The Washington OneNet (WON) program was created in September 2013 to develop a comprehensive design for FirstNet in Washington State. The program is under the co-direction of the Office of the Chief Information Officer and State Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC). Shelley Westall, the State Point of Contact for Public Safety Wireless Communication, serves as the program lead. Washington OneNet’s priority is to ensure the communication and data sharing needs of Washington’s public safety stakeholders.
Washington OneNet is supported by a grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
